Product context
Univa is a digital care platform for people with anorexia and other eating disorders, as well as the families who support them. The product provides two connected experiences: one for the person in recovery and one for their parent or carer.
The mobile experience combines structured programmes with videos, daily tasks, progress, reflection, practical guidance, and tools that remain available outside scheduled care.
My contribution
I worked on the Flutter application and the delivery of its cross-platform product experience for iOS and Android. My contribution focused on translating sensitive care journeys and product requirements into a coherent, dependable mobile experience.
Because this was client work, the case study focuses on the public product and my Flutter responsibilities rather than private source code or internal system details.
Two connected care journeys
The participant and carer experiences serve different needs while supporting the same recovery process. Programme content and progress provide structure over time, while the product keeps each journey appropriate to the person using it.
For carers, the application surfaces progress, completed activities, next steps, and quick guidance. This creates a practical overview without reducing recovery to a set of metrics.
Support in everyday moments
The app brings diary entries, food reflection, behaviour, thoughts, life events, gratitude, and practical techniques into one mobile experience. Quick guidance and toolkit content make useful support easier to reach during difficult moments.
Personalization extends to the virtual support team, allowing users to choose a visual style that feels more familiar and appropriate to them.
Cross-platform delivery
The product is publicly available on iOS and Android. Flutter supports a consistent experience across both platforms while accommodating content-heavy screens, progress states, interactive tasks, diary flows, and personalized visual elements.
The public store releases also show continued product development through new programme chapters, refinements to home-screen tasks, and ongoing stability improvements.
